“Tomorrow’s another day” was one of my grandfather’s favorite sayings.
It’s so simple yet rings so true—no matter what happens today, good or bad, tomorrow is a clean slate.
One of the teachings from the Bhagavad Gita tells us that we should act without attachment to desired results. As Americans, we are conditioned to do just the opposite.
We take jobs with the purpose of making more and more money, climbing the metaphorical ladder so that we can acquire houses, cars and vacations…the list goes on.
Today we see a wave of millions of people who have left their jobs due to a lack of joy in their lives and instead are pursuing complete lifestyle and professional changes.
Perhaps you’ve been through this yourself.
I learned this lesson by watching my parents turn away from time constraints (and ultimately, financial gain) so that they could invest their time building something greater: a rich family experience of support and love.
For better or worse (sometimes it’s incredibly challenging!), none of my sibling and I chose careers based on the kind of financial return that we would gain.
Love the life you live and if you don’t, make the necessary changes.
My dad lived his life around service.
Everything he did was for the purpose of creating a better world.
He wasn’t religious but often quoted the Golden Rule, and his example of kindness and generosity resonates with me every day.
I’ve discovered through teaching yoga that helping to enrich someone else’s day is the fastest way to get out of my own head and feel amazing.
That positive human connection brings meaning to my life, and I am grateful every single day for the opportunity to serve in my own way.
It’s hard to be kind to others when someone is yelling at you all the time. This is a testament to positive self-talk and it rings so true.
We often speak to ourselves in a way that we’d never speak to someone we love, and I’m trying to be kinder to myself so I can offer that positivity to anyone I encounter.
• Be consistent and persistent with the things that carry the greatest meaning for you.
• It’s all about progress, not perfection.
• Stop being so hard on yourself and have more fun.
“You can never take it back.”
A friend of mine shared her experience about making a decision that she regretted.
I always remember that advice when making decisions.
The power of my mind will get me through my toughest battles.
Take the leaps you wonder about. You won’t regret it.
“The grass is greenest where you water it.”

It’s easy to focus on the future, bigger, better, etc.
The truth is, where you put your energy is what flourishes.
If you focus on what you don’t have you’ll never have enough.
I truly believe in the law of attraction.
“Catch every bus you can take.”
Meaning, say yes to as many things as possible, without overdoing it.
The best advice I’ve ever received is “get your education, play, and follow your dreams.”
My dad gave me this advice a few months before graduating from high school.
It doesn’t really matter WHAT I DO. What matters is HOW I DO IT.
Power, title, money, and position will come and go, but it is how we treat what we value the most that will live on in the hearts and souls for generations to come.
Got that advice straight from the source.
Over and over again, every time I ask, “What should I do now?”
The answer is, “It’s not what you DO, Chels, it’s how you do it.” #truestory”
To slow down.
I am an extremely goal-oriented and tenacious person. It is truly a blessing and a curse.
When I am going hard after a goal or solely focused on accomplishing something, I often forget to slow down and take in the journey.
After all, this life we live is an endless journey.
Love life and live it to the max.
