Helena Kuntz Moura
Helena sees yoga as a path to peace, a truly individualized beautiful gift that offers a deeper understanding of who we really are. Her learning through this sacred practice, and thus also her teaching, focuses on the power of practice with intention and awareness, connecting with the breath, moving with patience, and re-learning life lessons through self -exploration and quiet contemplation.
She has studied with a myriad of Master Teachers and has a wide breadth of understanding for the spiritual, mental, physical and therapeutic aspects of the practice. Her experience and devoted study spans many different lineages and styles of Yoga, aligning with the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya, who is known for customizing asana to the changing needs of the individual students.
While studying, learning, and teaching many styles of yoga (vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, restorative) she holds true to this principle of customizing the asana to meet the needs of those whom she is working with. In addition to Yoga, Helena also has been studying, practicing, and teaching Meditation, Reiki and TaiChi.
Helena practices and teaches from intuitive guidance connected to the heart.
She began to teach yoga supported by extensive background of over 15 years training in Yoga (Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Swastya and vinyasa flow Liquid Asana).
She focuses in yogic practices that deepen the connection to our inner life force, including asanas, pranayama, meditation, kriyas, mantra, bandha, mudra, tai chi, movement (re)education and pilates. Her meditation background includes chakra, mantra, and zen meditation.
Her students consider her to be a peaceful, deep, knowledgable, dedicated, and creative teacher.
