“For the first time in my life, I am living in alignment with my values.” – Lauren Singer

In this Speakeasy talk from Wanderlust Stratton, Lauren Singer, blogger at Trash is for Tossers and founder of The Simply Co., describes how sustainable living has increased her happiness and taught her how to live a fuller life with less. Having produced almost zero trash in the past three years, she is a pioneer in the Zero Waste movement and an inspiration for how to lessen our environmental impact.

A former sustainability manager at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and an NYU Environmental Studies graduate, Singer started living a Zero Waste lifestyle and learned to make all of her everyday products organically and simply. Over the past two years the amount of trash that she has produced can fit inside of a 16 oz Mason jar. This lifestyle helped her to start her own organic cleaning product company, The Simply Co. When not blogging or growing her company, she enjoys cooking for her friends at her home in Brooklyn, New York, practicing yoga and meditation, running, and exploring New York City.
