Travis Robinson: Social Enterprise

Travis Robinson shares how his work creating Learning Gardens in urban schools was his way of bringing passion into practice

Travis Robinson explains how we can put our passion into practice for social good in this Speakeasy talk from Wanderlust Colorado 2013. Robinson uses his work building Learning Gardens in urban schools with the nonprofit the Kitchen Community as an example of social enterprise.

“Our work can be the canvas on which the creative force of the universe, moving with and through us, can … positively impact our spiritual path, our families, our communities, and ultimately the world.”

Some of the lessons he shares include:

  • Working with local communities to create a sense of ownership
  • Scaling a social enterprise operation
  • Bringing our gifts to the world
  • Creating something that’s larger than the sum of its parts
