First thing in the morning I have warm lemon water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Next I have a cup of coffee with fresh homemade almond milk and a dash of cinnamon. For breakfast I have Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free hot cereal and add dates and the rest of the fresh almond milk. I’ve been doing this for quite a while and it really gets my day started right!
The lemon water is alkalizing and great for digestion, plus it’s hydrating to drink before I start my coffee. I only drink about 1 cup of coffee a day and it feels like a real treat with the fresh almond milk, and the cinnamon is a good source of antioxidants. Bob’s Red Mill has several different cereals so I switch it up each day and sometimes add toasted coconut, pine nuts, and almonds. I found that this breakfast really lasts and I feel full and satisfied until lunch.
