Film I Re-Watch

I love the documentary Dark Days by Marc Singer with music by DJ Shadow.

Marc befriends a group of homeless people living in a train tunnel beneath Manhattan. Together, Marc and the homeless community work to make this documentary about their lives and struggles.

Ultimately, the film sheds light on the humanity of this group and how they are in need of real help. It ends with the government moving them out of the tunnel and into housing.

Something some of these people hadn’t had in almost 20 years. It’s inspiring to see how one man, who had an honest an open heart, helped to make a huge change in a group that had mostly been discarded.
