The Wanderlust Voyager Program is structured to fit your schedule and is broken into three main pieces:
- A pre-training, consisting of 25 hours of supplemental self-study per module.
- Modules, broken into four, 50-hour, in-person segments that can be taken at any time in any of our locations, as long as you take them in progressive order.
- A post-training, completed after all four modules have been finished, includes 100 hours of at-home, online review and reflection, and a charitable seva project.
Voyager Program Breakdown
Pre-Training
Each module includes 25 hours of at-home study. These self-study courses are completed online and include video lectures, reading assignments, teaching exercises, and recommendations for your personal practice.

In-Person 50 Hour Training Modules
The modules constitute the core of our Voyager program. Each module comprises one, 50-hour in-person training session. You can complete your Yoga Alliance 200-Hour certification by completing all four modules, which can be can be taken at any of our locations, as long as you take them in progressive order.
The module curriculum is divided as follows:
Module I • ROOTS
- History of yoga, including an overview of the Eight Limbs
- Pranayama and breath work
- Chandra Namaskar, Cat/Cow, Surya A and Surya B
- Fundamentals of teaching vinyasa and opportunities to practice teach
- Basics of anatomy, adjustments and sanskrit
Module II • STRUCTURE & SCAFFOLDING
- Bandhas, kriyas, and your drishti
- Standing poses, backbending and twists
- Further exposure to anatomy, physiology, sequencing, practice teaching and adjustments, including self bodywork
Module III • VOICE
- Hips/arm balancing, seated postures, forward bends and balancing poses
- The Yoga Sutras
- An introduction to mantra, murtis, koshas, and ayurveda
- An in-depth review of anatomy, physiology, sequencing and practice teaching
- An introduction to “Vinyasa Rx”
Module IV • TRUE NORTH
- Inversions
- Yin/Restorative, yoga nidra and meditation
- Understanding the business of yoga and the path of a teacher
- Chakras
- Teaching Prenatal
Post-Training
The post-training is completed after Voyagers have finished all four modules. It features nine online courses taught by Wanderlust Scholars. You will have the opportunity to upload your own teaching video and receive feedback from your Mentors and fellow trainees. This program acts as a support network that allows you to test new sequences, share playlists, and engage with your teacher training family.
The seva, or charitable project, is the capstone of the teacher training program. Through seva, you will have the opportunity to give back to your community and affect meaningful change through your practice.
