EVENT DATE Saturday | May 19, 2018 FOOD & BEVERAGE PERMITTING All Caterers and Food Trucks must have a permit from King County Parks in order to be a vendor in the park. Any brand sampling pre-packaged goods, are being handed out in original commercial packaging, and do not require any temperature control (cooling or heating): NO permit is required. Everyone else, please follow the instructions below DEADLINE APRIL 13, 2018 Are you serving unopened packaged products that require temperature control (ie: dairy)? Are you opening packages of food to distribute samples OR serving packaged goods that require cold holding (ice chests) to stay fresh? You will see a link at the top of the application that will take you to an online portal where you can register and apply online if you choose. In-person testing is not required; the Food Worker Card can be obtained online from the link above. – What are the parameters around sampling vs. selling? At what point does a sampling sponsor need to get a permit?
If you are sampling ONLY (no selling), you do not need a permit.
If you are selling anything and the food/beverage is not temperature sensitive (i.e. jerky, shelf-stable bars, etc.), you do not need a permit.

This requirement applies for ALL sales even if the sales are for one day or regularly throughout the year. You will receive your license after processing of your application. There is no fee for the license. Please note this means you must charge sales tax on all items sold. NOTE: Any out-of-state retailer coming into Vermont must obtain a Vermont license. SELLER’S PERMIT All sponsors who are selling in California will need to obtain a California seller’s permit from the Board of Equalization by Thursday, June 21, 2018. If you are out of state or don’t already have a permit, you can find the application by going to this website and selecting “REGISTER A BUSINESS ACTIVITY WITH CDTFA”. There is no cost to apply, but you will need to submit your sales and pay the appropriate sales tax at the conclusion of the event. If you are exempt from paying sales tax, you must complete this form. Any out-of-state retailer coming into California must obtain a Seller’s permit. Permits or licenses from other states do not qualify. For more information on Temporary Seller’s Permits please reference this website. The Placer County Environmental Health Department wants to ensure that anyone handling food is using best practices. Either food should be kept in closed containers, more than 3 feet from the front of the booth, or a sneeze guard OR protective covering (cake dome or similar) should be over samples that are in front of guests.
Squaw Valley is home to lots of wildlife from raccoons and squirrels to bears and mountain lions. To ensure the safety of your staff, our attendees, and all wildlife please be sure to follow these guidelines:
Remove all food from your tent overnight and store it in an area that can be fully secured
Any food that must be kept within your space should remain in a bear proof (air tight) container
All trash should be removed from the space overnight (a member of the Wanderlust Greening team will be able to assist with this)
FOOD & BEVERAGE REQUIREMENTS Partners that are only sampling will NOT need a business license. ALL F&B partners will need a temporary food services application. Please complete this application and submit to: James Whalen, the health inspector, at james.whalen@vch.ca. There is no permit fee associated with the application as long as it is submitted at least 14 days prior to the event. However, a $50 admin fee will be charged per application if submitted after the 14 day deadline. Please forward a copy of your health permit to Chelsea Conroy at chelsea@wanderlust.com upon receipt. Notice of Refrigeration: Depending on the nature of your food, mechanical refrigeration may be necessary. Please note in your Partner Advance Form if you will need ice. Cold storage rental is not available in Whistler, so please plan accordingly. In order to have the business license issued, we must receive a copy of the temporary food services application.
