Technology Intern
Do you live and breathe technology? As part of our Technology Internship, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced innovators to create an incredible digital experience for Wanderlust events, centers and media. It’s an amazing opportunity to sharpen your skills and get a variety of hands-on experience.
You have a data-driven, analytical and creative mind and you have an understanding of the lifestyle interests of the Wanderlust consumer: yoga, meditation, food, travel and more. You are an organized self-starter with strong problem solving skills, who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment. You’ll be a crucial member of the Wanderlust Technology team, and will report directly to the VP of Technology. We are staffed with many creative, warm, energetic people and the office is a fun, vibrant and occasionally loud place to work. This a part-time intern position is based in New York.
About You:
We’re looking for a well-rounded and motivated individual who likes to solve interesting problems with technology. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a deep understanding of web and mobile technologies, as well as emerging trends. We’re looking for someone with a wide range skills and experience, from HTML/CSS, to Photoshop, to e-commerce, Google Analytics and CRMs.
You will be working with the VP of Technology and key stakeholders across every department. Your goal is to help maintain and improve the company’s core infrastructure in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. This includes innovating, building, integrating and supporting the systems and tools that enable Wanderlust marketing, event production, sponsorship and finance operations. Projects span multiple platforms from web to iOS, email and social. And you will be active in supporting various stages of the product lifecycle, from strategy to design, development, QA and support. Sample projects include: customizing the HTML/CSS of Eventbrite pages, planning new features on our wanderlust.com WordPress site and building new systems to improve information flow from event production team to finance.
Requirements:
- Passionate about staying current with technology landscape

108 Navigator
We’re looking for energetic, hard-working and friendly ‘Navigators’ to help with customer service and programming for Wanderlust 108 events. Registration is the go-to spot for all attendee questions so you’re a problem solver and people person! Both bag check and registration happen fast so you work efficiently and quickly. And you’ll need the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in guest registration; check people in for the event, answer questions, and direct people to anywhere they need to go.
- Assist in bag check; swiftly assist guests with storing and returning their bags and yoga mats.
- Facilitate check-in at micro classes throughout event site; assisting the teachers, managing the line, and greeting all the attendees.
- Assist in the breakdown of the guest registration area; packing equipment, breaking down tables/chairs, storing signage etc.

108 Merchandise Assistant
Wanderlust is seeking local Merchandise Assistants across each 108 event. This role is for people living near our event sites, and will be responsible for their own lodging, travel to and from the event site, and knowledge of local yoga and fitness community.You will be assisting in operations of the Wanderlust merchandise booth reporting directly to the on-site Merchandise Coordinator. You have experience in retail sales with excellent customer service. You are enthusiastic in the Wanderlust brand, yoga and mindful living. You have the ability to share the experience with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in full set up and break down of merchandise booth, able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work rain or shine.
- Assist in merchandising, organization, replenishing and sales.
- Understanding of merchandise sold in the Wanderlust Shop with proficiency in Square.
- Ability to manage the store calmly with large groups of people.

Festival Yoga Venue Manager
The Yoga Programming team is looking for a Yoga Venue Managers for the all of our summer festivals. Section Managers play a crucial role in creating a smooth and consistent experience for attendees and presenters. As a representative of the Wanderlust brand, Section Managers are expected to be professional, enthusiastic, and committed to our brand.
We are looking for up to six (6) locals at each of our summer events: WV, VT, CO, CA, BC, and QC. This role is for people living near our event sites, and will be responsible for their own lodging, travel to and from the event site, and knowledge of local yoga and fitness community.
We are looking for the following qualities in a Section Manager:
- Applicants must be within driving distance of our festivals sites (ie, no lodging or travel provided).
- Experience in customer service and/or event production
- Genuine enthusiasm for the yoga community and mindful living
- Ability to manage large groups of people with ease
- Problem solver and proactive in finding solutions
- Professional and timely
- Eager to learn; coachable
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth execution of classes in the assigned yoga space(s)
- Manage volunteers to facilitate check in, cleanliness, etc.
- Track and oversee Eventbrite sales and ticketing for your venue
- Greet and support all Presenters teaching in your venue
- Time Commitment:
- Phone orientation (mandatory): must be available for 1 hour phone conference two weeks before event
- On-site orientation and site walk-through: One hr. Wed evening (Thurs in WV)
- Full event weekend: Thursday – Sunday 6:30am-6:30pm (Fri-Sun in WV and Thurs-Mon in BC)
- One (1) “evening shift”: 2 hours either Friday or Saturday night, to be determined by Wanderlust Staff
Compensation:
- Fee of $600.00
- Festival Catering for 3 meals per day on full working days (Thurs-Sun in VT, CO, CA, QC, Fri-Sun in WV, and Thurs-Mon in BC)

Festival Local Labor
Wanderlust is hiring LOCALS for a variety of on-site summer festival positions including Baristas, Campground Managers, Stagehands, Audio Techs, Lighting Techs, Event Operations/Labor, Greening Operations, and Runners (drivers). Assistant Digital Account Manager
Wanderlust is seeking an Assistant Digital Account Manager to support the integrated media department, who is passionate about the Wanderlust brand and all things digital. You have a data-driven, analytical, creative mind and have an understanding of the lifestyle interests of the Wanderlust consumer: yoga, meditation, food, travel and more. This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles. A college degree in a related field is preferred.
About the Position:
You’ll be a crucial member of Wanderlust Media team, collaborating with and supporting our account managers and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Support Digital Account Managers in overseeing the implementation, execution, and delivery of campaigns
- Direct activities for specific accounts on a daily basis including scheduling campaigns in a timely and accurate manner
- Partner closely with team on project kick-offs & executions
- Record and capture assets to provide insightful end of campaign reports regarding performance from a digital and content perspective
- Manage creation and deployment of Facebook ads and analytics
- Curate and track posts working across experiential, print, web, and social media
- Stay abreast of innovations and changes in the digital landscape for all of service offerings and look for ways to integrate these new offerings into client strategy and client campaigns

Producer
The Producer is responsible for assisting the Director and Brand Manager with programming & planning and will lead on budget management and delivery of all at event activity. This requires key relationship management with performers, suppliers and event crew. This role reports to the Director.

This includes innovations, integrations and support across all event aspects. You will have a strong understanding of marketing, sponsorship and finance operations. You will be active in supporting various stages of the event lifecycle, from strategy to design, development, site inspection, programming and partner support.

Media Manager
The Media Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns, curating all content for online and print media, and liaising with press. This role’s ultimate objective is to grow market awareness and ticket sales. Reporting to the Director & Brand Manager, the role works closely with the Business Development Manager and Sales Manager to ensure all Partnership deliverables are being met.
About the Position
You’ll be a crucial member of Wanderlust partnerships & marketing team, directing the media coordinators and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
There three key areas of responsibility under this role:
- Editor-in-Chief Content Manager
- Event marketing Campaign Manager
- PR Manager
For each of these areas the contractor will:
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
- Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future events / partnerships
- Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
