The story behind SwaF
Our story began with a small group of friends, with the shared vision of bringing together refugees and locals and to strengthen bonds and social networks. This is why our team sat down in Berlin, end of 2014, to found “start with a friend” – a organization that matches tandems between refugees and locals and has as it’s prime goal, to create tolerance and friendship. Since then start with a friend has grown: we can now proudly say we are represented in more than 20 cities around Germany, and even in Austria! Through this, many paths of people have crossed, which would have probably never met by natural encouter. It has been a fun ride and we are excited about what the future holds for us.
