Yoguitos

About

I was born in Mexico City, 34 years ago. I left home when I was 17 to study Communication Sciences at Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara (ITESO), where I also obtained diplomas in Arts Management, Audience Creation, and Human Development. My passion for pedagogy led me to study an MA in Visual Arts and Education: A Constructionist Approach at Universidad de Barcelona in Spain. During my time in the Catalan capital I also studied with Happy Yoga and Imagine Academy to become a teacher of Kundalini yoga. In 2010, María Anguita and I founded Yoguitos, a yoga school for children between the ages of 0 and 99.

Through Yoguitos I exercise and cultivate my talents, education and experience. I love what I do and give thanks for the opportunities life has presented me with to provide children of all ages with tools, such as yoga, meditation and mindfulness, that bring myriad benefits to their lives. Two of my favorite words are ‘unlearn’ and ‘inspire’. And if I could be an animal right now, I’d be a cat.

I work continually with organizations to bring yoga to disadvantaged communities, schools, community centers, festivals, play centers, yoga centers and any space where people wish to liberate their inner-child – this is my challenge every day. During the Yoguitos teacher-training weekends I accompany those who wish to change their world through yoga, and we have lots and lots of fun!
