Pascal Ackermann
Musician and circus performer extraordinaire, Pascal has loved music from a young age, completing a four‐year violin making apprenticeship in his homeland of Switzerland before emigrating to New Zealand where he has established himself as a performing artist and production technician.
He finished his diploma in Circus Arts (CPIT) and has maintained a life‐long interest in creating things in his workshop and on stage.
He is also a certified rigger and indoor pyro technician.
Having worked on the stage now for over 10 years, he has performed for a number of well established companies throughout New Zealand, including: The Loons Theatre, World Of Wearable Art, The World Buskers Festival Christchurch and Wellingtons Fuse Circus. Overseas he’s entertained audiences at festivals and on the street in Europe and UK. As a rigger he has worked extensively on events for the last five years, ranging from outdoor festivals to rock concerts at arenas.
He is the current Guinness Book record holder in fire eating. The record he established in Rome in 2010, for the TV program “Lo Show Dei Record”.
Currently he is one of the head trainers and technicians at the Wellington Circus Hub.
