Acroyoga is a partner acrobatic practice that incorporates a yogic consciousness. Nirvana’s first taste of acro began with her introduction to circus classes at Vulcana in 2007. Acrobalance felt a familiar place as she had played with people on her feet as a child. Along with a passion for yoga, she embarked on learning, training and absorbing as much as she could in the acrobatic world. Yoga and Acroyoga took her on a wild journey of trainings, teaching and travelling around the world. She met and connected with beautiful communities which transformed the way she did life. Nirvana has spent a number of years now teaching classes, workshops and retreats to build a strong community within Brisbane and the surrounds. Her acroyoga classes are all about having fun, exploring challenge with yogic mindset and a focus on technique to create a support space to learn in. They also draw on a number of movement practices to support students’s understanding of the principles of acroyoga and movement. She has a passion for teaching beginners as she loves the joy it brings.
