Nancy moved to Vermont from Baltimore in 2008, and has been practicing yoga for 5 years. Nancy received her 200 hour teacher training from Beryl Bender Birch’s The Hard and the Soft Yoga Institute and is currently seeking her 300 hour certification through the Heart of the Village Yoga Studio. She teaches vinyasa flow classes there and will also be hosting trauma sensitive yoga sessions at the New England School for Girls.
Recently, Nancy has discovered there is so much more to yoga than the physical practice. She began to embrace the concept of enjoying the present moment – that the journey up the mountain is more important than summiting it and that setting into a posture is more important than perfecting it. She believes that awe-inspiring life skills can be learned through one’s practice and presence on and off of the mat. Nancy is looking forward to leading hikes (which may include a few moments of mindful mediation and yoga shapes) at Stratton during Wanderlust 2018.
