Mark Higbie

Mark Higbie is the principal at Greenfield Strategies LLC, a strategic communications consultancy based in Detroit. Mark serves as a senior advisor to Ford Motor Company providing strategic counsel to leaders in environmental sustainability, the future of mobility, and organizational culture change.

Early in his career, Mark spent ten years in national politics and government – as a campaign operative and in appointed positions at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and at the U.S. Department of Energy, where he helped lead agency communications at the first White House Conference on Climate Change. This work was followed by a decade in Silicon Valley as a corporate communicator creating media for leading technology companies and private equity firms, including Oracle Corporation, Sun Microsystems, and The Carlyle Group.

Mark is a former Board member of the Black Rock Arts Foundation and an eighteen-year participant of the Burning Man Project. As an instigator and consensus builder, Mark drives engagement through direct experience, shared understanding, and empathy.
