Founded by Kumu Hula Holoua Stender in 1998, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiian Ensemble represents a collection of talents from Hawai’i to Kaua’i. Being that our students come from across the island chain, Hawaiian Ensemble contains some of the most talented Native Hawaiian youth in Hawai’i today. Our mission statement: “School and community service through Hawaiian cultural arts.” From oli and hula to singing and playing musical instruments, our students constantly acknowledge and exemplify this mission statement.
