Julia Hanlon

Julia Hanlon is a 500-hour RYT yoga teacher, runner, and endurance coach passionate about asking questions that explore the mind, body, and spirit connection. The quest for these answers has led Julia to the practices of yoga and running.

Julia began practicing yoga at the age of 16, eventually becoming a 500-hour RYT teacher during her sophomore year at Bates College. In her six years of teaching, Julia has shared yoga with hundreds of athletes, from high runners to Olympians. She ran competitively at Bates College and after graduation, lived in Ethiopia teaching yoga and gender empowerment to adolescent female runners, and plans to return to Ethiopia in 2018 to produce a documentary project featuring Ethiopian female distance runners. Julia has served as the camp director and yoga instructor at Wilder Running and Writing Retreat in Bend, OR and coached high school track and cross country in Concord, MA. From 2014-2016, Julia was the producer and host of Running On Om, a top-rated health podcast on iTunes that includes over 200 long-form interviews with endurance athletes and wellness innovators.
