Gary Moon works and plays at the intersection of capitalism, consciousness and social impact. As Managing Partner, Gary led the formation of Nfluence Partners, a Technology Boutique Investment Bank founded originally in 2011 as the Technology, Media & Telecom group at Headwaters MB. Gary and his partners built Headwaters into a top 10 Technology M&A Boutique Investment Bank by number of transactions in 2017 before forming Nfluence in January 2018.

At Nfluence, Gary focuses on working with mission-aligned businesses, those companies and their leaders that believe for profit business can be a force for good, including advising on the sale of Meetup to WeWork in 2017. In 2018 Gary launched the Mission-Aligned Growth Summit in partnership with Conscious Capitalism Inc., an annual event focused on curating a mastermind learning community interested in topics at the intersection of purpose drive business and transactional corporate finance. Gary serves on the board of the Grof Holotropic foundation, bringing 50 years of Stanislav Grof’s work on transpersonal theory and holotropic practice into the mainstream, seeking to advance individual as well as societal healing and transformation.

Gary also serves on the San Francisco Bay Area board of Build.org, a non-profit teaching entrepreneurship to high school students in under-resourced communities. Originally a Stanford electrical engineering student, Gary started his career as an entrepreneur, founding Luna Communications immediately out of school in 1996. Luna was a nationally regarded wireless systems integrator, which he ran for 5 years and merged into a competitor in 2001 while becoming CTO and MD of Client Services. With quality mentors, colleagues and friends, Gary found his second vocational passion in Technology Investment Banking, where Gary worked for Viant Capital between 2003 and 2006, and Ridgecrest Capital Partners between 2006 and 2010 including living in Barcelona leading the Ridgecrest’s European/US cross-border practice.

Gary and his partner Maria have 5 kids between them, ranging in age from 5 to 22. You can most often find them traveling somewhere in the world on various internal and external adventures.
