Boreta (of The Glitch Mob)
About
Born and raised in California, Justin Boreta, or Boreta, is constantly challenging himself musically, technologically and creatively. Boreta began performing solo shows in the underground West Coast bass music scene, where he would be scheduled to play before or after his future bandmates Oooh and edIT. Eventually the trio decided to form a partnership called The Glitch Mob. Since their establishment in 2006, the electronic live act has now performed around the world at festivals including: Coachella, Burning Man, Lollapalooza, EDC, Electric Forest, Austin City Limits, Reading & Leeds and Lightning in a Bottle; they have also recently released their long-awaited third album, ‘See Without Eyes’. They have had the honor of remixing acts like Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Metallica, The White Stripes, Illenium, Odesza, TV on the Radio, any many more.
In addition to touring and releasing music as part of The Glitch Mob, Boreta developed a passion for creating ambient music and has spent several years immersed in various forms of meditative practice.
In 2018 he released a collaborative guided meditation, alongside spiritual leader Ram Dass, entitled “Imagine.” He’s also currently working on a piece of music with the Alan Watts archives, and will be performing at the Psychedelic Symposium at Esalen in Spring 2019.
At Wanderlust, he will be performing a live sound meditation using his official collaborations with the Ram Dass and Alan Watts archives.
Boreta’s focus is to merge timeless wisdom with the experiential power of current electronic music into a unique immersive experience.
