Born in Mexico City, Arturo arrived to India for the first time in 1998 when he was 18 years old. This experience marked him deeply and redirected his path forever. He started practicing Yoga on 2000; and started teaching in Yoga He on 2002. He was certified by It’s Yoga San Francisco on 2003. He has studied Yoga with masters such as Larry Shultz, Katie Cariffe, Baptiste Marseau, Ana Desvignes, Marcos Jassan, Rolf Naujokat, Marci Ciu, Ty Landrum among many others. From a very young age he also connect with other types of bodywork, Olympian gymnastics, martial arts, contemporary dance and Capoeira. He has traveled extensively to India, Southeast Asia and Australia, deepening his practice. Arturo has been teaching Yoga classes for 16 years. He balances his asana practice with vegetarianism and a regular vipassana meditation practice. In addition to being a certified teacher, he is Co-director of Sun Dance Mexico, the main Ecstatic dance platform in Mexico. He also directs the MAIA Contemporary art gallery, the Vegan restaurant Forever and the mini Culinary Vegetable super markets.
