Welcome to Week Two. If you’re feeling tired, remember this: A challenge is an opportunity to redefine your comfort zone. When we redefine our comfort zones, we meet new, stronger versions of ourselves.
This week we move into a more ‘intermediate’ level sequencing—but if you’re newer to the practice, please remember that classes build upon themselves in the Challenge so you have all the tools you need to modify appropriately. Today’s practice builds upon the forward bending and back bending we set up on Day One.
The priority today is lengthening the spine. Focus on maximum extension, keeping the chest forward and up, as you ease through delicious backbends, lunges, and Standing Split (Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana). Finish by opening the hamstrings in Wheel (Urdhva Dhanurasana) before settling into a well-earned rest.
