Nearly two decades ago, Johann Helf met a cave dwelling Yogi in the Himalayas who introduced him to the legendary and mystical substance known in Ayurvedic medicine as Shilajit. A substance many believe to no longer exist as prescribed in ancient texts. Driven by curiosity, challenge and obsession, he began a six year journey throughout India and to some of the most remote and high altitude villages on the planet.
