Source, Science & Sustainability

The Adirondack Mountains are the source of Nirvana Water Sciences natural spring water products, which promote muscle wellness and naturally enhance the performance of the body.

Know Your Source

Adirondacks

Spanning more than six million acres, the Adirondack Mountains are home to the largest protected natural area in the contiguous United States. Nestled in the foothills of this mountain region, are 1,700 acres of protected wilderness. Beneath it, roaring deep underground through two ice age aquifers, pristine water has been fed by the winter snows of the Tug Hill Plateau for 1.5 billion years. As it flows, the water hits impenetrable limestone bedrock, shooting it toward the earth and forming natural springs. This is where five natural springs deliver the water that is Nirvana, considered by many as the best tasting water on earth.

Naturally high in calcium and low in sodium, this spring water emerges from this rare geologic phenomenon to encounter another natural wonder: muscle wellness in the form of Nirvana HMB

Where source meets science: Why HMB matters

Using this gift from Mother Nature, Nirvana Water Sciences has set out to help improve the quality of life with a line of infused natural spring water products that promote muscle wellness and naturally enhance the performance of the body.

HMB is a naturally occurring substance produced in our body to support muscle health. Young or old, our body is producing muscle protein and breaking down muscle protein. As we age, the rate of muscle protein breakdown begins to overtake the rate of muscle protein production. In our 40s, humans average just under 1% percent of muscle loss a year (about 8% per decade) but this accelerates in our 70s, when we lose up to 1.5% per year (or 15% per decade). HMB slows that rate of breakdown, but it’s produced in your body in precious amounts and depletes after exercise and as you age.

Drinking Nirvana HMB spring water infused with myHMB® Clear not only hydrates your body but replenishes your natural HMB and helps achieve optimal muscle wellness.

Science + Sustainability Go Hand in Hand

A core value of Nirvana Water Sciences is its commitment to sustainability.

Nirvana’s unique spring water is not sourced, tanked or shipped to a separate bottling facility.  Mother Nature has entrusted Nirvana Water Sciences with a natural resource unlike any other – and it takes that responsibility seriously. It has created a self-contained vertically integrated water bottling compound near its natural springs where the fresh water is harvested from the earth, and bottled at a crisp 42° on-site, without ever touching human hands.

Perhaps most importantly, Nirvana Water Sciences has designed an efficient bottle and packaging made from recycled PET (Post-Consumer Resin) and manufactures each bottle on-site on an as needed basis each day. This means less plastic, less waste and more peace of mind. It is part of the Company’s state-of-the-art single source eco-friendly process.

This is all part of Nirvana Water Sciences’ larger mission of sustainability. The company currently has devoted 300 acres of its pristine land to solar, wind and hydro energy with a commitment in being 100% off-grid by 2025.
