Prince EA and Seane Corn: Motivation

We all have the power to make our lives what we want—it’s about discovering your passion.

Prince EA and Seane Corn are both Wanderlust presenters. Catch Seane and other luminaries at one of our Wanderlust Festivals this summer.

Whether you get up in the morning and put on scrubs, yoga clothes, an apron, or a suit and tie, something is motivating you to wake up, get out of bed, get dressed, and go. Passion, purpose, spirit, and drive are what get us out of our pajamas, into our work clothes, and ready to manifest greatness.

That same motivation and drive are what will ultimately determine—and lead you to—what you’ll pursue. So, where does it stem from? What exactly is it that drives you to do what you do? For doctors one would assume it’s an innate desire to help people, for chefs we’d guess it’s a love of food and flavors, and for the artist we’d imagine it’s an unrelenting desire to create.

Breaking away from the idea that what you “do” is inherently linked to a career, this also applies to what you do just for you. What you do for fun—the things that make you feel fulfilled and happy—whether manifested in a side job, a hobby, or a volunteer project.

For me: I write. I write for me, I write for you, I write for anyone who will read the words I’m putting out into the universe. What I hope is for it to resonate with someone, anyone. I want the words to get them thinking, or laughing—with me or at me, I don’t care so long as they’re reacting, feeling. I hope to inspire someone, or to make them feel less alone (because heaven knows I know that feeling all too well). I don’t have work clothes, and technically, I can do what I do without even getting out of bed—but that’s beside the point. My passion is what keeps me moving. I wake up for words.

The point is, you don’t have to look the part, dress a certain way, or have a fancy corner office with a view to pursue what you are driven to do. Find what it is that makes you want to do—something, anything. Pay attention to that. Move past fear, uncertainty, and doubt. I read a quote yesterday by Doe Zantamata that stuck with me: “Don’t let the fear of what could happen make nothing happen.”

Prince EA aims to help others find their passion and their power. His desire to reach others on a deeper level propels him to create content that allows people to “look within themselves and find out who they are and the power that they have within them,” he states in the video below. Take the time to reflect upon the things that matter to you. Scan the Internet for images, videos, or words that move and motivate you—they very well may be the creations of Prince EA.

When we tune into our passions we have the ability to tune out the fear, or at least turn the volume down on our negative thoughts. According to Seane Corn in the video, below: “When I choose to pay attention to that [that still, small voice in me that prods me forward every single day] I’m happy, and life is rich, and it’s meaningful. That doesn’t mean that it’s easy, but I know that I’m guided by something that’s bigger than my fear.”
