Yesterday I had an epiphany:\u00a0I’m mad as hell.<\/p>\n

I wondered if our technology is progressing so rapidly, without balance or boundaries that we’re not taking the time to consider the future impact on our society. Or worse, maybe we do, and don’t care.<\/p>\n

Let me explain.<\/p>\n

In the morning I walked past a commercial playing on the Disney Channel for Oral-B that\u00a0featured a\u00a0smiley child brushing her teeth with the assistance of an iPad propped up on the sink.<\/p>\n

This was followed by an afternoon Twitter ad from\u00a0Google For Education, with a child sitting outside under a tree with an “affordable Android tablet.”<\/p>\n

Later that day, I dined with my family at a national chain restaurant where each table was outfitted with its own personal screen placed just so to distract from any possible human interaction.<\/p>\n

To say I was mad at the close of the evening when my husband lay beside me with his iPhone 6 Plus an inch from his face, is an understatement.<\/p>\n

I grabbed my notebook from the nightstand\u00a0and\u00a0began to create a list that\u00a0I now realize looks more like an old school burn book.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m mad as hell…<\/p>\n
