Sascha is a San Diego-based yoga teacher and recently completed her PhD in Art History. She first came to yoga after college, but an injury left her believing that her body wasn’t built for the practice. Looking for a way to exercise and release stress during graduate school, she gave it another try, and being quite a bit older and (slightly) wiser, learned to listen to her body and make adjustments to build strength and avoid these injuries. This led to a love of yoga that manifests in a daily practice and desire to spread the impact that it has had on stress reduction, healthy and mindful living, as well as the idea that yoga truly is for everybody. She completed her 200 hour TT at Pilgrimage of the Heart Yoga in San Diego where she was able to gain a greater understanding of alignment, meditation, pranayama, and yoga philosophy. This education, alongside a playfulness of sequencing in putting together flows that inspire a fluid movement rooted in the interconnectedness of poses and geared towards allowing students of all levels to explore their edges, is what inspires her teaching.
