Mirka Jendriskova
Mirka is originally from Slovakia (Europe) where she grew up and finished her education. She also lived in the UK before moving to Australia. Mirka now lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with her partner Jared and Rani, her puppy :). The reason for the big move was- to be surrounded by the ocean, live in the sun and wear flip-flops all year around. Mirka is a proud vegetarian of 13 years.
Mirka has a background in marketing (marketing and tourism graduate), having worked as the marketing & social media manager for the Sunshine Coast Skydivers for 3 years (where she also learnt how to skydive!).
Mirka did her Yoga Teacher Training at the Sunshine Coast renowned yoga school/studio Being Yoga in 2014 and since then she has taught community classes as well as private yoga/meditation classes on the Sunshine Coast.
Mirka is also involved in the community project called the Sunshine Coast Meditation Group – free weekly guided meditation sessions on the beach/park.
In October 2014 Mirka established her own small business venture called Lush Mala Beads. All Lush Mala Beads are handmade by Mirka on the Sunshine Coast, using Rudraksha beads and crystals.
At the moment, Mirka with Erin Horne (Varsha Yoga) and Angelique De Gruchy (The Yoga Sessions) – all wayfarers 🙂 are organising a fundraising event ‘Namaste Nepal’ (inspired by MC Yogi) for the beautiful people of Nepal and their country. The event will consist of yoga, music and meditation and all proceeds will go the Australian Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal. The event is being held on the 27th June at Kawana Community Hall on the Sunshine Coast (namastenepal.eventbrite.com)
