Alyssa Winfield

Alyssa was first drawn to yoga in 2007 when a friend held a flawless scorpion pose. Coming from a dancing background, she was immediately hooked on the physicality and acrobatic aspects of the asana practice. It wasn’t long after starting her yoga journey that she realized how much yoga went beyond just the physical postures. Yoga has had a profound effect on every aspect of her life – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Alyssa teaches yoga in Wilmington, NC – her classes range from power vinyasa to candlelight restorative practices that incorporate yoga nidra. Off of the mat she enjoys anything that can be done outdoors – spending time at the beach, hiking, taking her dog for a walk and long boat rides. Her current focus is learning to spread joy and love through yoga to as many people as possible!
