Overheard at Wanderlust Hollywood: \u201cI spend all of my time analyzing how I\u2019m doing every day. I don\u2019t need any more resolute-ing in my head.\u201d Yes, yogi: There is a truth to this. As students of mindful living<\/a>, yogi practitioners tend to spend most of the year in a state of self-reflection. By the time the new year\u00a0comes around again, the thought of setting more resolutions can take us down the spiral of the ever elusive search for self-enhancement.<\/p>\n

Self analysis is a powerful tool to optimal living, but alone without balance<\/a> of activation can lead to paralysis. If we spend all of our time thinking of how we can do better, how this year is going to be different rather than taking steps towards it with support of community, we can fall prey to disappointment, guilt, and even overwhelm when the next new year comes around.<\/p>\n

Wanderlust Hollywood is hosting an event to help participants gain clarity on how they truly can have the best year yet. Lewis Howes\u2014New York Times<\/em>\u00a0best-selling author, life and business coach, and optimal living enthusiast\u2014will host the Greatest Year Ever<\/i> conference on\u00a0Saturday, January 7. Speakers of the conference will include award-winning author and therapist Katherine Woodward Thomas, life coach Tim Storey, renown poet In-Q<\/a>, fitness coach Natalie Jill, and former NFL player Steve Weatherford.<\/p>\n

As Lewis acknowledges in his famed book, School of Greatness<\/i><\/a> one of the keys to setting oneself up for success is to gain clarity on what we want and find a community on which to lean for support. On January 7, Howes is bringing together some of the most influential people in his circle to create a day of supercharging vision and upholding a sense of community.<\/p>\n
