Ita’s curiosity for yoga drew her to her first class over 10 years ago. In 2007, after the birth of her first son, Ita completed her 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher training and immediately became a full time yoga instructor. She continues her student journey by attending regular workshops with the likes of David Swenson, Mark Stephens, and Tias Little. Her passion for teaching grows with each moment she gets to pass on the benefits of this amazing practice. Her teaching style is inspired by the foundations of Ashtanga yoga. Her classes are measured, with unrelenting attention to the breath and the spaces in-between movements – where the magic truly happens. In her personal practice, her focus rests on the connection to the inner self by achieving a meditative like state that opens a space for reflection. She presents her classes in a non-judgmental environment where everyone feels welcomed to leave inhibitions behind and truly focus on the present moment. In 2010, she opened Ita Yoga Studio in Ann Arbor. Since then, she has continued to grow her yoga community while attending to her family of two divine boys, an amazing husband and wonderful loving pets.
