Shannon lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains, alongside the historic James River. She and her family have enjoyed hiking and kayaking their backyard for more than 20 years. During this time, she has studied and learned about the flora and fauna of her hometown region. Her passions include teaching, oil painting, wire – wrapping jewelry and voracious rock-hounding!
