I Treasure You<\/h3>\n<p>For the past several years, we have been hiding a golden coin around the house.\u00a0 She may find it under her tea mug, or I might flip to a page in the book I\u2019m reading, and there\u2019s the golden coin!\u00a0 This small surprise has come to mean \u201cI treasure you\u201d, and every time I find it equates to a burst of positive feelings.\u00a0 And then it\u2019s my turn to hide it for her.\u00a0 I can\u2019t tell you how many times this token of affection has transformed my day.\u00a0 It\u2019s another way to say I love you, and has been a special source of wonder in our relationship.\u00a0 If you like it, by all means try it with your partner!<\/p>\n<h3>2. The Toothbrush Trick<\/h3>\n<p>We all have our rituals as we get ready for bed.\u00a0 We\u2019ve tried essential oil diffusion to relax us, and a number of other ways to cap off the night.\u00a0 None has stuck like our \u201ctoothbrush trick\u201d.\u00a0 Imagine entering the bathroom and seeing your toothbrush already freshly pasted with toothpaste\u2013you don\u2019t have to squeeze the last little bit from the tube, clearly someone has paid you an altruistic act.\u00a0 It\u2019s so small and you might think it\u2019s silly, but it makes all the difference in improving my mood when I am trying to prepare myself for sleep.\u00a0 What are other ways you can lighten the load of your lover?\u00a0 You\u2019d be surprised how simple little things make a big difference!<\/p>\n<h3>3.\u00a0Get Weird Together<\/h3>\n<p>Sing a funny song in the kitchen, invent your own language, and invite your partner to PLAY.\u00a0 Couples do strange things when no one is watching, and apparently there\u2019s major health benefits when we teach each other to be more whacky and playful.\u00a0 Kelly and I have noticed how life gets stale when we take things too seriously.\u00a0 Also, set a spark by doing new and exciting things together.\u00a0 Go skydiving, learn improv comedy, go out of your comfort zone as a couple!\u00a0 It\u2019s the best way to rekindle the passionate love that releases dopamine.\u00a0 Companionate love is warm and comforting, but a dose of passion is also what we all need.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly and I used to co-sponsor a love parade every Valentine\u2019s Day.\u00a0 We\u2019d walk through downtown on our stilts together with a whole tribe of friends.\u00a0 Perhaps it was that exciting peak experience we were after!<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s strive for less chocolate and more connection this Valentine\u2019s Day, and please share a story with us about your unique ways of sharing love!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was originally published on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/circuspicnic.com\/\">Circus Picnic<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jefe Greenheart has been creating cinematic videos with Wanderlust for five years now along with his magical wife Kelly Greenheart.
