For over 10 years Tahuna Breaks have honed their sound to include elements of funk, disco, soul, live electronics and roots. With live configurations of between six and ten members, the groups live act is energetic and raw; influenced by artists including James Brown and Daft Punk. By their own definition they they are a ‘party band’ who do what ever it takes to get the audience moving.

Hailing from New Zealand they have released 4 albums and a live concert DVD. Regulars at major events, festival appearances have included: Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival, Big Day Out (NZ), Rhythm and Vines/Alps (NZ), Highlife (NZ), WOMAD (NZ), Homegrown (NZ), Homelanz (UK), Jarasum Jazz festival (South Korea), Ulsan World Music Festival (South Korea), Moomba Water Festival (Australia), Caloundra Music Festival (Australia) and many other festivals across Australia and New Zealand along with countless tours and sold out performances.
