Sangeeta Kaur (aka Teresa Mai) is a Vietnamese American award winning New Age/ Classical Crossover opera singer, mantra singer, song-writer, producer and certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.

Sangeeta has been teaching KY yoga since 2012. She studied under Harijiwan Singh Khalsa, Tej Kaur Khalsa, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Gurujas Kaur Khalsa.

In 2009, she began studying Tibetan Buddhism, Yoga of Lady Niguma and Yoga of Sound and Mantra with a sangha in New York City. Not too long after that, she took her very first Kundalini Yoga class at Golden Bridge Yoga NYC. This was the beginning of a very profound spiritual journey for her.

Sangeeta had a calling to share her practices with Vietnamese communities. In 2012 she began offering Kundalini Yoga classes to a Vietnamese community in Southern California. She is now the founder of a community yoga and meditation center called Sat Nam Yoga where she continues to offer, by donation, KY classes.

She has taught throughout Asia and the United States.

Sangeeta believes that Kundalini Yoga is a set of tools that can help people to live their greatest potential as human beings. It is a very direct and accessible practice that strengthens the nervous system making us more resilient and aware of our surroundings and situations so that we can better cope with everyday tasks and pressures. It is a practice that brings us into a state of neutrality and balance.

As a musical artist, she earned a Bachelors of Music degree in Opera Performance from California State University of Long Beach (currently known as Bob Cole Conservatory of Music) and a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory of Music.

Sangeeta performs internationally, a unique blend of classical crossover and sacred music. She has performed in venues such as MUSCO Performing Arts Center, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Hall, the Broad Stage and others.

With her producer, Nicolas Neidhardt, Sangeeta recorded and released two New Age/ Classical Crossover music albums: “Niguma Vol, 1” (2016) and “Ascension”, Niguma Vol. 2” (2017). Her third album titled, “MIRRORS” was released on September 21, 2018.

Sangeeta is the creator and producer of the new musical production, “Niguma, The Mantra Project”, a powerful and ancient story told through songs from her previous two albums, modern classical dance, yoga and visual arts. Niguma, The Mantra Project premiered at The Broad Stage, in Santa Monica, Ca November of 2016

Sangeeta is also the founder of Empower With Art Productions, a non-profit organization and production company that is dedicated to bringing to the stage, new and transformative musical productions that have positive impact on the world.
