Missy Larsen

About

Missy W. Larsen is the Vice President of Corporate Communications for doTERRA International. She joined doTERRA in 2017 after serving as Chief of Staff to Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes where she managed policy issues, office administration, community outreach, and partner alliances. Results of her work are seen today in a successful and forward moving office.

In 1991, Missy launched her career as Press Secretary for the late U.S. Congressman Bill Orton (UT, 3). In 1994, she solely launched INTREPID Public Relations focusing on technology, travel and leisure, non-profit, political, crisis management, and brand awareness clients and campaigns.

In 2004, as a means to balance work and family, Missy left INTREPID and started MWL Communications where she represented some of Utah’s most valued businesses and organizations at their request. And, after mentoring a Somali-Bantu refugee family, Missy co-founded the Utah Refugee Coalition (now Utah Refugee Connection) in 2009. Today the organization connects refugees and refugee providers with needed resources and volunteers.

Missy is the founding chair of the statewide SafeUT Crisis and Tip Line Commission, currently chairs the Utah Refugee Connection board, serves as Vice President of Community Relations for the Boy Scouts of America Greater Salt Lake Council, and serves on the Anti Bullying Coalition and the Hale Centre Theatre Boards. She has served on numerous boards over the past 25 years and continues to volunteer as a refugee mentor. Missy and her husband Sam are the parents of four children.
