Drawing inspiration from soul music, classic singer-songwriters and socially conscious artists like John Lennon and Bob Marley, Mike de la Rocha is a gifted and talented artist whose emotional lyrics and heartfelt songs seek to heal and inspire.

Mike is the Founder and CEO of Revolve Impact, (a global social impact firm that combines organizing and the arts to drive communities to action) with an impact portfolio that spans 20 years. Highlights include founding Artists for 47, a coalition assembled to pass California’s historic Prop. 47 that has impacted more than 1 million Californians and led to the largest record change effort in U.S. history, launching the Justice Policy Network, the country’s first fellowship focused on increasing the number of leaders in the government sector advancing a new justice agenda, and co-managing John Legend’s #FREEAMERICA campaign.

Since the release of his debut solo EP in 2010, de la Rocha has released two albums including Moving Forward and a live full-length record documenting Living Rooms Across America. Mike is a featured artist for Rock the Vote, the nations preeminent nonpartisan voter registration organization, and has performed at various high profile concerts with world-renowned artists, including Harry Belafonte, Ben Harper, Jackson Browne, John Forte, Cypress Hill, Jon Batiste, The Roots, and the Clean Energy Tour with Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

In 2014, Mike was selected as one of GOOD Magazine’s top 100 people changing the world, Stanford Social Innovation Review’s top innovators in America and received the Hispanicize Positive Impact Award for his work on reducing gun violence. In 2012, Mike merged his love of politics and music by creating The Living Rooms Across America Tour, a nationwide tour that utilizes music to stimulate conversation, build community and inspire people to get involved in efforts to change the world. With memorable performances in front of thousands of people, including shows at the Democratic National Convention and on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the tour has been featured in various media outlets and is the subject of an upcoming feature-length documentary.

Mike has performed and presented lectures at dozens of colleges, universities, festivals, and institutions in the U.S. and around the world, including the Clinton Global Initiative University, TED-x, Chicago Ideas Week, Summit Series, Interdependence Day, Catalyst Week, Amnesty International, as well as other events in Mexico, France, Germany, Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Mike received a B.A. from UCLA where he served as the Undergraduate Student Body President and a M.A. from California State University-Dominguez Hills.
