Kristen grew up in North Carolina and started practicing yoga when she was in high school. Originally, she became interested in yoga as additional sports training, but quickly became hooked as a yogi.
“I would do yoga in the mornings before school and it became such a great way to start my day. It helped me give each day a fresh, energizing start. My body and my mind just felt better after each practice.”
Throughout her adult life, Kristen has been fortunate to live in a variety of unique places. Her travels have allowed her to live in some of the most amazing and naturally beautiful places on earth. Every place is so different, but within some cultures: yoga, surfing, snowboarding, and in nature, you can find home no matter where you are.
Kristen graduated college from California Polytechnic University with a degree in Recreation, focusing in Outdoor Adventure/Leadership. Currently, she works for Pocahontas County, WV Parks and Recreation as the Recreation Program Coordinator. She teaches a variety of programs for all ages throughout the county, including kids’ yoga in the elementary schools.
