Joan’s teachings come from an organic and intuitive place, as she draws upon the joyful study of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation. Joan is an authentic modern day yogi and her love and devotion show up in her practice and through her teachings.

With over twenty years of experience leading retreats, trainings, and workshops worldwide, fifteen of which as a distinguished YogaWorks senior teacher, Joan has recently moved over to Wanderlust. She has stepped into the role of director of Teacher Trainings collaborating with teachers who are experts in their field of study to create an eclectic training accessible to all . As a leader in the Los Angeles yoga community, Joan also contributes to popular blogs such as The Daily Love, Elephant Journal, and Wanderlust. She has been featured in Yoga Journal, ORIGIN Magazine and Women’s Health for her advice and experience on health and wellness.
