David Johnston is the Managing Director of Weleda Australia, an international company with a rich heritage. Founded by Dr Rudolf Steiner over 90 years ago Weleda pioneered the use of biodynamic and organic ingredients in the personal care industry and has adhered to these original quality standards ever since. Weleda products are now sold in 51 countries on five continents, sustaining over 50 fair trade partnerships worldwide and producing more than 120 personal care products. Weleda is proud member of the Union for Ethical Bio Trade (UEBT)

David’s passion for health and vitality has been with him throughout his entire life. From working as a macrobiotic chef to establishing an organic farm in the early 70’s to working with natural health pioneer Vince Russell, David has seen many health trends come and go.

Prior to Weleda David was the General Manager at Go Vita, where he expanded the group from 60 to over 120 health food stores, making healthy products available to a wider community nationwide.
A typical day in David’s schedule starts with meditation, tai chi and a swim in the ocean and he can often be found surfing if the swell’s up and time permits. David lives on a beautiful farm north of Sydney where he grows most of his fresh produce according to permaculture and biodynamic farming principles.
