As a child, Andrea Brook realized the unconditional importance of each person recognizing and respecting who they truly are and living their purpose. Fueled by her mother’s advice: “Decide what you want to do, and you will figure out how to do it,” she has built her life’s work to support her clients and audiences to live their dreams.

Andrea began teaching yoga in 1998, after studying in Mysore, India with the Guru of Astanga Yoga, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She returned to India in 2000 to study Integral Yoga in Rishikesh, India with Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, and then continued her studies with the world renowned Thich Nhat Hahn, to deepen her practice of mindfulness meditation. Andrea’s teaching style incorporates the wealth of her experience, and the expansiveness of her studies gives her the ability to offer each student exactly what they need to support them to cultivate the lives they truly want.

Andrea has led workshops and retreats around the world including Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, the Omega Institute, the TED Conference, and festivals including Wanderlust, Burning Man, Symbiosis, the Envision Festival in Costa Rica and many more. www.andreabrookyoga.com

Since 2001, Andrea Brook has presented visually and sonically stunning performances, transforming architecture and natural environments into large-scale musical instruments around the world and in a wide variety of locations including a cathedral in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a children’s festival in Canada, a 9th Century Castle in Italy, a ski resort in Bulgaria, the Grand Theater in Shanghai, a temple in Vietnam, the remains of a ruined palace in Istanbul, a fort in the Philippines, and a city block in Sao Paolo, Brazil. When describing her work, her audiences express themselves with words like “mesmerizing,” “thought provoking,” “astounded,” “electirfying,” and “spectacular.”

In 2013, Andrea designed her own long-string harp, Sonic Butterfly, to inspire audiences to release limiting beliefs and bring to the world their own unique vision. Sonic Butterfly is a two octave, chromatic, acoustic harp with 60 foot long strings and projection and LED wings. The 60ft strings span out over the heads of the audience, placing them inside the instrument and creating a full sensory experience. The Ojai Cocoon, Andrea’s studio and performance venue was built in 2016 in Ojai, CA, where she delightedly calls home. www.sonicbutterfly.com
