Ali is a yogi, stargazer, mother and passionate lover of life.
Through her experiences in life and in yoga, it is Ali’s belief that by connecting yoga to nature’s rhythms and universal celestial events, a much more profound experience is possible. Ali has created classes to celebrate the solstices, equinoxes, full moons, solar and lunar eclipses and more.To do this, Ali often partners with the Astronomers at Slooh to understand that beauty, wisdom & power of the cosmos. To harness this energy here on earth, Ali’s celestial classes utilize the energy of yoga and breath to open her students up to and directly experience prana, presence, and ultimately joy.
Ali’s teachings have further been influenced by her studies in Tibetan Buddhism, Native American culture, various healing modalities and energy work, and especially by her teacher Dr. Jean Houston. Ali has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been teaching a blend of Kripalu and Vinyasa style yoga since 2008. She is based on the beautiful island of Maui. In 2014, Ali developed a mindfulness program for teachers and students at Washington Montessori School, which she is currently implementing and teaching at the Montessori School of Maui. She has been working with Slooh to develop a vibrant connection between yoga and astronomy.
