Lindsay Dahl is Beautycounter’s Vice President of Social & Environmental Responsibility. A nationally recognized campaigner, Lindsay is responsible for bringing the company’s social mission to the halls of Congress and state legislatures as well as advancing policy goals that strategically contribute to business growth and marketplace leadership. She leads the company’s state and federal advocacy, incorporates the social mission into marketing campaigns, crafts key brand positions related to safety and transparency, and develops leadership opportunities for the brand and CEO. Lindsay brings an interdisciplinary approach to corporate strategy, deploying the best tools from grassroots movement building to scaling Beautycounter’s innovative direct retail model.

Prior to joining the Beautycounter team, Lindsay spearheaded the passage of more than a dozen health protective laws at the state and federal levels, including the nation’s first ban on the toxic chemical BPA from baby bottles and sippy cups. In addition, Lindsay created a nationally acclaimed program to encourage the top ten major retailers to remove—for the first time ever—toxic chemicals in products. This initiative led to comprehensive health protective policies from Fortune 500 companies such as Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, The Home Depot and Best Buy.

Earlier in her career, Lindsay was the Deputy Director of Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, the country’s largest coalition working to update federal laws on toxic chemicals. While in Washington D.C., Lindsay was lead strategist for the grassroots movement that ultimately led to the overhaul of toxic chemical regulations, the first since 1976.
