You’re Invited: A Conscious Town Hall

Join the mindful movement.

Tune into the livestream of this special event on January 30!

It’s a strange time to be a member of the mindful community. While the popularity of alternative spiritualities, metaphysical healing, meditation, and yoga continues to go mainstream, it feels like humanity continues to act less and less out of mindfulness. It’s easy to feel as if we’re in the middle of an age of personal revolution, but that this spiritual growth is limited to our private lives. We may buy organic products, meditate before work, go regularly to Reiki or acupuncture, and have a nightly home yoga practice, but how do begin to bring these intentions outward?

There’s never been a better time to consider how to do this. As our current political landscape in America grows increasingly more troubling, we find ourselves faced with the challenge of moving outward with our mindful intentions, asking questions that call for creative, leading-edge answers from our community. What does a mindful political landscape look like? What is a mindful healthcare policy? Energy policy? How does mindfulness look when applied to social inequity, food production, or prison reform?

Mindful America

Wanderlust is gearing up to heed this call. On January 30 at the Wanderlust Hollywood Center in Los Angeles, Wanderlust will host a conscious town hall, where we invite luminaries in their fields to share their vision for what mindful policy could look like—and we want you to be a part of the conversation.

The town hall event will curate a panel of six innovative and passionate thinkers, each an expert in their respective fields. The brainchild of Wanderlust co-founder and author Jeff Krasno, the event is intended to create a context to seed mindfulness out of individuals, manifested in a broader societal context. “Through the curation of really interesting speakers who are passionate about an issue,” Jeff says, “we can outline a variety of ways to see policy through the lens of mindfulness.”

Featured speakers include internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher and New York Times bestselling author Marianne Williamson; Representative Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), a champion of efforts to make college more affordable, revitalize America’s cities, and improve the health and well-being of American families through food policy and mindfulness education; internationally-celebrated yoga teacher and impassioned activist Seane Corn; poet, activist, speaker, director, and content creator Prince EaKerri Kelly, the founder of CTZNWELL, a movement to mobilize the wellbeing community into a powerful force for change; and Founder and CEO of Revolve Impact, a global social impact agency that combines organizing and the arts to drive communities to action, Mike de la Rocha.

Following a traditional Town Hall format, each speaker will discuss a topic that inspires passion and urgency, followed by a moderated Q&A. In so doing, Mindful America will create a space for purposeful discussion and the opportunity to galvanize our local community and beyond.
