About

AMB Logo 2013_SmallJenn Chiarelli’s journey began through the art of dance. She attained her dream of becoming a professional ballerina when she joined the Cleveland San Jose Ballet as one of its youngest members. During her 11 year career with the company, Jenn danced various soloist and principal roles in works by renowned choreographers including George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Donald McKayle, and Dennis Nahat. She received critical acclaim for her role as the Pioneer Woman in Martha Graham’s Appalachian Spring. Jenn discovered Yoga, when one of her colleagues took her to her first Ashtanga class in California. At first it was a wonderful new challenge that helped her detoxify her body and mind. She soon realized that her path through yoga was just beginning. At the same time she was blessed to have met her teacher Swami Khecaranatha, and began her study and practice of Kundalini MahaYoga. As she became more aware of her own spiritual journey, she traveled to Costa Rica to the Nosara Yoga Institute. There she received her yoga teacher certification in Interdisciplinary yoga. Jenn has met many yogis along the way, who have influenced her practice and teaching style, including Don and Amba Stapelton, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Desiree Rumbaugh and Dharma Mittra. Jenn has over 10,000 hours of yoga teaching and training experience. She is the creator and founder of Anahata Soul and its 200 hour Yoga Teacher Program in Costa Rica. She also helped to create the At One Yoga Teacher Training Program, in Scottsdale, AZ which she still leads at Lifepower Yoga. Jenn has a deep spiritual practice rooted in Tantra Meditation and always has gratitude for her teacher, Swami Khecaranatha for his guidance along her journey. As a Master teacher, Jenn encourages her students to explore their own internal rhythms, their own personal practice through the postures, breath, meditation and music. Her mantra is “open your heart, free your soul”.
