Gretchen Bleiler

About

Gretchen Bleiler is one of the best female snowboarders in the world. From a very young age, Gretchen aspired to be an Olympian. She is now recognized as a role model and pioneer in her sport and is one of the most accomplished female snowboarders in the world. She is a 2x Olympian, Olympic silver medalist and a 4x Games gold medalist.

After traveling around the world chasing snow for the past 15 years, Gretchen has seen the effects of climate change first-hand which is why she’s an active spokesperson for the environment. She’s currently on the Board of Directors for Protect Our Winters (POW) and the Aspen Center For Environmental Studies. Through her success and experience Gretchen has been able to use her platform to work with sponsors to create high-end products designed specifically with the environment in mind, she is the host of POW’s “Hot Planet/Cool Athletes” educational climate videos, she gives climate change presentations and has even started to lead an unexpected political life lobbying for the environment on Capitol Hill and campaigning for different political figures who support a clean power future.

In 2010, Gretchen and her husband marked a new phase in their entrepreneurial exploration with the launch of ALEX Bottle, a stainless steel reusable water bottle you can open up in the middle to CLEAN!

This past year, Gretchen has taken on the role of teacher after receiving her teacher’s certification in meditation through the Chopra Center. Meditation is a practice that perfectly parallels so many lessons she’s learned on her snowboard, and also a tool that has been so instrumental in her career and life.

As a pro snowboarder, writer, speaker, teacher, environmental advocate, entrepreneur and Olympian, Gretchen shares her message of living an inspired life and the importance of following your heart.
